United Kingdom, May 15 -- Alix Earle felt "nervous" about filming Earle Meets World.

The 25-year-old social media star and her family star in Earle Meets World, the new Netflix show, and Alix has revealed how her thoughts about the series have evolved over time.

She told E! News at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue launch in New York: "We were filming with my family from January up until a few weeks ago and it was such a wild ride.

"I think I was a little nervous in the beginning going into it, I just didn't really know what to expect. But it honestly brought us all a lot closer, because it's like a therapy session."

Alix explained that the show's producers encouraged the family to confront their issues head on.
