United Kingdom, Oct. 24 -- Adam Scott guarded his children from his fame when they were little.

The 52-year-old actor and his wife, film producer Naomi Scott, wanted to protect their 19-year-old son Graham and 16-year-old daughter Frankie from the "idea of having to share" their parents with fans.

Adam told 60-year-old actress Kristin Davis on the latest episode of her Are You a Charlotte? podcast: "I always thought that the main thing that I felt like I wanted to sort of - when they were little - protect them from the idea of having to share your parents.

"That I think is the thing where it's a little dicey for them. It's like, 'Well, wait a second. You're my dad or you're my mom. And people are coming up for a picture.'
