United Kingdom, June 24 -- Adam Lambert didn't have a boyfriend until he was 24.

The 44-year-old singer admitted that growing up he had to conceal his sexuality, so had to "wait" for all the teenage rites of passage others go through.

In an interview on Josh Smith's Great Chat Show podcast, Adam said: "When I grew up, it was [having relationships with boys] was an off limits thing.
