United Kingdom, Sept. 5 -- Aaron Rodgers intends to start a family once he retires from the NFL.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, 42, is set to bow out of the sport at the end of the upcoming season and explained that he will be focused on having children with his wife Brittani once his career ends.

Asked about his retirement plans, Aaron told Adam Schein on SiriusXM: "I'm hopefully going to be supporting my pregnant wife because we're going to start a family and I'm not going to be making a lot of appearances or statements.

"And I'm looking forward to a life of quiet after 22 years in the pros and three in college and getting my body healed up and working on a family. That's what I'm looking forward to."
