United Kingdom, May 27 -- Pierre Deny, the veteran French actor known to international audiences for his role in Emily in Paris, has died aged 69 following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS.

The actor's death was confirmed by his daughters, who announced in a statement he had died on Monday (25.05.26) after complications linked to the progressive neurological condition.

Pierre had recently appeared in seasons three and four of Netflix's hit romantic comedy drama starring Lily Collins, portraying fashion executive Louis de Leon, the father of Nicholas de Leon, played by Paul Forman.
