United Kingdom, Oct. 16 -- SEGA and Rovio have confirmed that Sonic Rumble will launch in November 2025.

The mobile and PC "arcade royale" title - developed by the Angry Birds studio - was originally slated for release in early 2024, but faced multiple delays as the team focused on improving gameplay and performance.

In a new blog post, SEGA said: "We know you're super excited to dash, jump, and compete in the ultimate arcade royale, and guess what? So are we!

"Our whole journey to get this game ready for you has been all about one thing: making a game that truly lives up to the Sonic name."

According to SEGA, the extra time allowed for extensive player feedback and three major overhauls.
