United Kingdom, Sept. 16 -- Sega is expanding its entertainment ambitions with a new partnership with Netflix that will bring three of its biggest gaming properties to the screen.

The collaboration will see adaptations of arcade racing classic Crazy Taxi, Sonic the Hedgehog and upcoming Like A Dragon spin-off Stranger Than Heaven arrive on Netflix in the coming years.

The first project announced is a live-action Crazy Taxi movie, described as a "hilariously crazy" take on Sega's chaotic driving franchise.

The film will be written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, the writers behind the 2025 reboot of The Naked Gun, who are expected to bring the game's comedic energy and unpredictable style to the adaptation.
