United Kingdom, Aug. 18 -- Insomniac Games has responded to the growing criticism surrounding Marvel's Wolverine, with one of the studio's senior figures calling the online negativity "relentless".

James Stevenson, Insomniac's director of community and marketing, shared his concerns on social media after seeing the reaction to trailers and gameplay footage for the upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive.

Stevenson wrote: "I think the wild way this algorithm amplifies and forces negativity upon you has me reconsidering my philosophy on telling devs to look or post here. It's a relentless onslaught that I cannot believe is good for anyone's mental health nor representative."
