United Kingdom, April 2 -- Crimson Desert has sold four million copies worldwide in less than two weeks.

The open world adventure game dropped on March 19, and hit two million sales in less than 24 hours, which rose to three million in just five days.

Developer Pearl Abyss has now announced on X: "#CrimsonDesert has sold through 4 million copies worldwide.

"Thank you to all the Greymanes who have been a part of this journey with us and for all of your incredible love and support."

The game endured a rocky start, with players complaining about awkward controls and its use of AI art, with the studio addressing many of the issues with a large patch.
