Kenya, Aug. 7 -- Residents of Kakamega are shocked as a thief passes by a throng while carrying a flat-screen TV without sounding an alert. On Wednesday a convicted burglar nonchalantly strolled along the main road with a stolen flat-screen TV balanced on his shoulder as though it were his own, leaving the residents of Kakamega town stunned. According to witnesses, the suspect, a guy who is said to be in his early thirties, moved around the town centre using the electronic gadget without displaying any symptoms of stress or hurry, attracting inquisitive looks from onlookers instead of suspicion.

After a homeowner set off the alarm, saying that the TV had been stolen from his electronics store near the bus stage just ten minutes earlier, the strange event began at about 10:45 a.m. The individual in question had vanished around the former Kenya Commercial Bank building by the time a throng assembled to witness the store owner yell and gesture in the direction the man had gone.
