Kenya, Aug. 7 -- On Monday, August 4, 2025, a young woman gave birth to three baby girls who were startlingly connected at the chest, stomach, and lower abdomen in what medical professionals described as an incredibly uncommon and complex instance of triplet conjoinment, leaving residents of Hamisi in Vihiga County in shock. When midwives saw that the first baby was emerging with limbs that were strangely entangled with those of two other babies, the 24-year-old woman went into labour at a nearby dispensary and was subsequently sent to Vihiga County Referral Hospital.
When the birth resulted in three live kids who were all conjoined, breathing, and moving but securely attached to each other across important organs, doctors and nurses were completely surprised. They had hurried to do an emergency caesarean procedure that took more than three hours. The newborns shared parts of the liver, diaphragm, and digestive system, making separation nearly impossible with local equipment or experience. To read more click here.
