Kenya, Aug. 21 -- Last year, I would have laughed in my face if someone had predicted that I would be on my knees pleading for my ex-girlfriend to bring me back. I was in a steady, happy relationship with a lovely woman who cherished me. There was no need for me to dwell on the past. Then, though, an odd incident occurred that still makes me shiver when I think about it. Dreams were the first step. I initially believed it to be nothing more than my mind reliving previous experiences.
Then the dreams got too vivid, too frequent. I saw my ex smiling and calling me back every night. I would wake up agitated, sweaty, and uneasy. I caught myself looking through her old pictures, monitoring her social media, and even writing messages I never intended to send during the day.
