Kenya, Sept. 6 -- Diana Bahati, a rising rapper and content producer, has come under fire for her new music video, which used the rhythm of E-Sir's 2003 song "Sare".The song "Bibi ya Tajiri" didn't make people feel nostalgic; instead, it got a lot of negative feedback from fans and celebrities, with many saying Diana disrespected one of Kenya's most famous rappers.Diana Bahati is getting a lot of hate for using E-Sir's "Sare" in her new song "Bibi ya Tajiri".Khaligraph Jones, an award-winning rapper, was one of the fiercest detractors. He shared a spoof by comedian Eddie Butita that made fun of the song. In the video, an actress breaks a vinyl record out of anger, and Butita writes, "Si u sareee."The post instantly ignited the music world. Shrap king Boutross Munene backed Khaligraph with a blunt "Sana Jo,", while Sina Noma hitmaker Charisma laughed it off, saying, "Eeh wamekuja sana."VJ Patelo, who is renowned for being blunt, went even farther by saying that Diana didn't respect E-Sir's legacy and calling both her and her husband Bahati nasty names. He told Kenyan rappers to lift the bar so that "jokers" don't bring down the quality of the profession.Gengetone artist Parroty Vunulu also made a humorous comment, claiming that the late E-Sir must be "turning in his grave" after hearing the remake.People who liked the show on social media agreed with the critique. Colonel Warren joked, "Hii ngoma Tanzania wakiona kwisha sisi," and Hassan said it was only for attention, stating, "She will do anything and everything to trend for the week."Nicki Bear said, "She will get attention for this song, and it will trend, but it will hurt her credibility in Kenyan music."But Diana wasn't taking the hits calmly. In response to Khaligraph's comments, she told her followers that she had previously gone after him in her earlier track Bibi ya Tajiri."Naskia OG, I'm perplexed. I had fun ripping Khaligraph Jones apart! She posted on Instagram, "Izo diss zote amenirushia nilikuwa nashangaa nitarevenge siku gani."She also responded to Patelo's remarks by making fun of his dress taste and said he doesn't belong in the business. "Who is this person wearing so many chains?" "Ana talks to Bibi ya Tajiri, the best rapper, also known as Mama Lao," she said back.
