Kenya, Aug. 7 -- Kenyan actor and content creator Martin Githinji, popularly known as Daddie Marto, has revealed that physical intimacy was non-existent in his marriage to estranged wife Koku Lwanga in a candid Instagram rant on August 6, 2025, sparking widespread discussion.

The emotional disclosure, part of a broader expose of their troubled relationship, follows Lwanga's June accusations of infidelity and physical abuse, which Marto denies.

The couple, married since 2018 and parents to three children, separated in December 2024, with Marto alleging emotional abuse and narcissistic behaviour from Lwanga, while she claims he moved out abruptly and assaulted her.

Daddie Marto's revelation that physical intimacy was non-existent in his marriage shocked fans, as he detailed in an emotional Instagram post how attempts at closeness were rebuffed by Lwanga.

"Physical intimacy was non-existent in the marriage; you wonder how we got pregnant," Marto stated, claiming Lwanga accused him of neglect despite his efforts to give her space post-pregnancy.

He described walking on "eggshells" to avoid conflict, alleging her rejections led to emotional detachment. Lwanga, in response, accused Marto of emotionally checking out long before their split, claiming he criticized her efforts to salvage the marriage, as reported by Tuko.co.ke.

This lack of intimacy, Marto suggested, contributed to their strained relationship, culminating in their 2024 separation.

Marto's emotional rant on August 6, 2025, detailed years of "silent suffering," accusing Lwanga of narcissistic behavior and emotional abuse. He claimed she manipulated public perception, gaining "social capital and money" by portraying him as the villain while he endured insults and threats to his 20-year career.

Marto highlighted a financial setback from a loan taken to build Lwanga's mother's house in Kerugoya, a project started in 2019, which he says drained him emotionally and financially.

Lwanga countered on Instagram, denying the loan's impact and providing receipts showing her family's contributions, accusing Marto of exaggerating his role and being conned by a contractor.

Koku Lwanga's infidelity allegations against Marto, made public on June 16, 2025, via Instagram Stories, claimed he brought another woman into their shared compound in Nairobi, where he rented a separate two-bedroom apartment.

She alleged a violent confrontation when she challenged him, resulting in blows and kicks to her head, neck, and back, as evidenced by videos showing bruises.

Marto denied these claims, asserting he sustained an eye injury during the altercation and is cooperating with police, as reported by TNX Africa. He insists the narrative is "one-sided" and has evidence to clear his name, while Lwanga claims neighbours' statements support her account.

The Marto and Lwanga separation timeline began in December 2024, with a mutual agreement to take space for three months, per Lwanga's August 5 statement.

However, she claims Marto blindsided her by moving out in April 2025, taking items like the children's TV without notice. Marto disputes this, stating they planned a joint statement in May, and he continued covering household expenses, school fees, and medical bills, as detailed in his August 5 X post.

Their 2018 marriage, following a whirlwind romance and traditional Ugandan wedding, produced three children, with Marto present at each birth, earning him praise as a "present dad" before rumours of trouble emerged in 2024.

The Nairobi celebrity breakup drama has captivated Kenyan audiences, with fans amplifying Marto's intimacy claims and Lwanga's accusations.

Public sentiment is divided, with some urging Lwanga to "get hotter" like Amira, ex-wife of Jamal Rohosafi, while others support Marto's call for legal redress to protect his reputation.

Relationship coach Jane Murimi Mugo noted that unresolved conflicts and boundary violations escalate such public fallouts. The couple's co-parenting efforts remain strained, with Lwanga alleging Marto neglects their children, while he insists he prioritises their well-being.

The Marto-Lwanga saga, marked by allegations of infidelity, abuse, and financial disputes, reflects broader themes of trust and accountability.
