Kenya, Aug. 19 -- After an infamous robber who had long been feared for supposedly employing witchcraft to steal innocent people was finally apprehended, Kasarani villagers were treated to a spectacular morning show on Tuesday. When he tried to mug a woman outside a major bus stage, the man, who neighbors claim has been terrorizing the neighborhood for months, met his match. But unlike other victims, this one was supposedly shielded by strong counter-spells from Dr. Bokko, a well-known spiritual healer.
According to eyewitnesses, the thief tried his usual trick, a ritual he allegedly performs to weaken his victims and strip them of their possessions without resistance. But this time, instead of the woman freezing in fear or losing consciousness as others before her had, she remained firm and raised alarm. "Alijaribu kumvamia, lakini ghafla nguvu zake zikaisha. Yule mama alianza kupiga kelele na kusema 'leo umejipata!'" one witness narrated, as chants of "Uuuui! Uuui!" echoed from the crowd that quickly gathered. To read more click here.
