BRISBANE, Queensland, Jan. 30 -- Queensland Police Service issued the following media release:

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has welcomed 79 new officers into its ranks, following the graduation of the latest cohort from the Brisbane Academy.

This group is the first of more than twelve that are planned to graduate this year.

Building on the achievements of 2025, which saw nearly 1,200 constables sworn in, the QPS remains steadfast in its commitment to bolstering the frontline and ensuring the safety of Queensland communities.
