BRISBANE, Queensland, Oct. 21 -- Queensland Police Service issued the following media release:

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has welcomed 16 new Protective Service Officers (PSOs) following their recent graduation at the QPS Academy.

The graduation follows an intensive seven-week, full-time training program designed to equip them with the necessary skills required to meet the demands of their roles.

These new officers will play a vital role in safeguarding Queenslanders by strengthening security at key government sites such as state government buildings, courthouses, schools, and public transport infrastructure, while collaborating closely with Queensland Police Service officers.
