CANBERRA, ACT, Oct. 1 -- Australian Federal Police issued the following media release:

A Queensland man is expected to appear before court next month, to be charged with displaying prohibited Nazi symbols online.

An AFP investigation began in June, 2026, after officers identified a social media account allegedly publishing prohibited Nazi symbols alongside racist, white supremacist, nationalist and anti-LGBTQIA+ content.

The AFP's National Security Investigations (NSI) team executed a search warrant yesterday (30 September, 2026) at a Mudgeeraba residence, seizing a mobile phone.

The man, 49, was issued a notice to appear for one count of publicly displaying prohibited Nazi symbols, contrary to section 80.2H of the Criminal Code (Cth)....
