A Central Coast man, 63, is scheduled to appear before Wyong Local Court on 7 October, 2026, charged with allegedly threatening a government advisor on social media.
An investigation began after an online user allegedly made a threat about the advisor on a social media post.
National Security Investigations (NSI) executed a search warrant at a home in Buff Point, NSW, on 20 August, 2026, and seized a mobile phone for further review.
The man was served a court attendance notice to face one count of using a telecommunications service to menace, harass or cause offence, contrary to section 474.17(1) of the Criminal Code(Cth).
