CANBERRA, ACT, Aug. 26 -- Australian Federal Police issued the following media release:
A Tasmanian man is scheduled to appear in Alice Springs Local Court today (26 August, 2026) after being charged for allegedly entering a restricted area within a Northern Territory Commonwealth establishment.
The man, 38, was arrested in November, 2024, after AFP officers on duty at the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap, near Alice Springs, allegedly identified him walking within the prohibited area without authorisation.
While questioning the man, it will be alleged AFP officers found him to be in possession of a camera and photographic equipment.
