CANBERRA, ACT, Oct. 1 -- The Treasurer of Australia issued the following media release:
The Albanese Labor Government is delivering more than 200 new crisis and transitional homes across Queensland for those who need it most, backed by $133.9million in funding.
These homes will support more than 7,000 vulnerable Queenslanders and give some of our most vulnerable families a safe place to rebuild their lives.
For women and children escaping domestic violence or a young person with nowhere safe to sleep, these homes can provide safety, stability and a fresh start.
The homes will be built throughout Queensland, including in regional areas.
