The Murray-Darling Basin is home to many different communities. Most Basin communities rely on water from its rivers and groundwater systems for farming, Culture, recreation and everyday life. However, Australia's changing climate is making water availability less predictable. Rising temperatures, prolonged dry spells and more frequent extreme events are affecting how our rivers flow. This presents greater challenges for communities to secure a reliable supply of water.
