West Bengal MLAs signature forgery case: CID summons TMC leader Kunal Ghosh for questioning on June 14
Kolkata, June 12 -- The West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) intensified its probe into the ongoing "forged signature" controversy, issuing a formal summons to senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and MLA Kunal Ghosh.
The agency has directed the legislator to appear at its Bhawani Bhawan headquarters in South Kolkata on June 14 for questioning.
The investigation pertains to alleged discrepancies in signatures on a document submitted to the West Bengal Assembly, which was intended to appoint Sovandeb Chattopadhyay as Leader of Opposition (LoP).
