West Bengal: CBI files FIR in Chandranath Rath murder case, suspects conspiracy, organised crime
Kolkata, May 13 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR to investigate the murder of Chandranath Rath, the PA of West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.
Rath, who had worked in the Indian Air Force, was shot dead near Madhyamgram on May 6 late at night. He later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The case was taken over from the West Bengal Police following parallel notifications issued by both the Government of West Bengal and the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India.
