New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- India's auto export segment remained mixed in August 2026, with automakers having higher exposure to West Asia witnessing weaker export trends amid logistical disruptions caused by the ongoing regional crisis, according to a report by Kotak Institutional Equities.

The brokerage said exports remained weak across original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) due to supply and logistical disruptions arising from the West Asia crisis.

However, domestic demand remained strong across most auto segments during the month. Overall retail volumes grew by more than 15 per cent year-on-year in August, despite geopolitical uncertainty linked to the Iran conflict.
