New Delhi, June 11 -- In a significant boost to international law enforcement cooperation, notorious gangster Vainket Garg was successfully extradited from Georgia to India on Thursday. The high-stakes operation was the result of a seamless, multi-agency effort involving the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and the Haryana Police.

Garg, a fugitive wanted in connection with a string of grave criminal offences, had long been on the radar of law enforcement.
