Visakhapatnam, Aug. 25 -- The Malakapuram police have registered a case and launched an investigation into a complaint alleging that a lorry driver from Madhya Pradesh was assaulted by some persons after they boarded his vehicle.

According to police, Seshagiri Rao, General Secretary of the New Andhra Motor Truckers Association, lodged a complaint at the Malakapuram Police Station regarding the alleged assault and disappearance of lorry driver Bhairav Lal Sahu.

Speaking to ANI, Malakapuram Circle Inspector Narasimha Rao said the complaint was received at around 10.30 am and alleged that Sahu had gone missing two days ago after some persons boarded his lorry and assaulted him.
