Uttarkashi, Aug. 10 -- The administration in Uttarkashi is waiting for the weather to clear, as dark clouds and fog over Matli helipad have delayed air operations to the disaster-affected areas of Dharali and Harsil.

Meanwhile, the Badrinath National Highway has been blocked by debris near Bajpur Chada in the Kotwali Chamoli area.

In a post on X, Chamoli Police shared, "The Badrinath National Highway is blocked due to debris near Bajpur Chada under Kotwali Chamoli area."

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that more than 1,000 people, including devotees and pilgrims from across the country, have been rescued after the recent flash floods and mudslides in the Uttarkashi district.
