New Delhi, Oct. 2 -- US propane exports to India rose in the first half of 2026, contributing to record-high overall shipments as changing global trade flows and rising demand in South Asia boosted exports, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).

US propane exports averaged 2 million barrels per day (b/d) during January-June 2026, up 11 per cent from the same period last year, the EIA said. Exports reached a record 2.1 million b/d in April, partly driven by higher shipments to India and other South Asian countries.
