Mumbai, May 10 -- Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal on Sunday congratulated Suvendu Adhikari as he became the new Chief Minister of West Bengal. The Union Minister expressed confidence that the state would see a return to its former glory under the new leadership after years of administrative decline.
Talking to the reporters, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, "West Bengal was once considered the pride of India, but has declined under previous administrations. I would like to congratulate PM Modi and HM Amit Shah for saving Bengal from Mamata Banerjee, who only wanted power. I would like to congratulate Suvendu Adhikari, who will serve the people of West Bengal as the new CM."
