Washington, Nov. 24 -- US President Donald Trump on Sunday (local time) suggested that "something good" may be emerging from the latest round of peace discussions involving the US and Ukraine, hours after senior American and European officials signalled that negotiations in Geneva had produced fresh movement.

"Is it really possible that big progress is being made in the Peace Talks between Russia and Ukraine??? Don't believe it until you see it, but something good just may be happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.

His remarks followed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's statement that "tremendous" progress had been achieved during talks between Ukraine and the US administration in Geneva on Saturday.
