Agartala, Aug. 24 -- Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday laid the foundation stone of the HP Ghosh Memorial Medical College in the Lalchhari area of Ambassa in Dhalai district.

The HP Ghosh Memorial Foundation will build a 100-bed medical college on about 20 acres of land.

He said that the state government has taken various steps for the development of Dhalai District Hospital and declared that a medical college will also be established here.

"We had promised to set up a medical college in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council area. That promise is now being fulfilled," he said.

He added that the state government is running the state in a similar fashion as Prime Minister Modi is running the country.
