Agartala, July 9 -- Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday said that timely taxpayers are not only fulfilling their legal obligations, but are also playing an important role as responsible citizens in the economic progress and infrastructure development of the state.

"The state government is determined to build a more technology-based, transparent and accountable tax system in the coming days," said the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister Manik Saha said this while inaugurating the golden jubilee celebrations of the Tripura State Tax Department at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
