Chennai, April 10 -- BJP candidate from the Mylapore constituency, Tamilisai Soundararajan, on Friday kick-started her campaign for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026 by offering prayers at a temple in the constituency.

Speaking to ANI, Soundararajan expressed confidence over the party's prospects, stating that the campaign is receiving a positive response from the public.

"It (campaigning) is going on very well. We are very happy. People are more receptive. Lotus will definitely bloom in Mylapore," she said.

Reacting to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin reportedly asking AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami to drop C.N. Annadurai's name from the party, Soundararajan criticised the remarks.
