Agartala, Sept. 10 -- The TIPRA Motha Party has secured 1,148 seats unopposed in the ongoing Village Committee (VC) Election 2026 in Tripura, according to the latest figures.

The party has won the seats without facing any contest, accounting for around 25 per cent of the total 4,597 Village Committee seats in the election.

The development gives TIPRA Motha a significant early advantage as the electoral process for the Village Committees continues across the state.

The remaining seats are being contested through the ongoing election process, with results expected after the completion of polling and counting.
