Hyderabad, Oct. 5 -- Telangana Chief Electoral Officer on Monday has directed officials to initiate action against applicants who knowingly make false statements or declarations in Forms 6, 6A, 7 and 8 during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

In a letter addressed to the Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and District Election Officer (DEO), Hyderabad, as well as all Collectors and DEOs in the state, the CEO directed that strict action be taken against those found responsible for making false declarations.
