Tejas Shirse rewrites national record in 110m hurdles with stunning 13.27s run, qualifies for CWG 2026
Ludhiana, June 13 -- Indian athlete Tejas Shirse has rewritten the national record in the 110m hurdles, clocking an outstanding 13.27 seconds at the Indian Athletics Series 9. Tejas, representing the Reliance Foundation, surpassed the previous mark of 13.41 seconds that he had clocked in 2024.
Tejas' record-breaking performance has now secured the qualification standard for the Commonwealth Games 2026. The qualification standard for CWG stood at 13.39 seconds for this event, according to a press release from the Reliance Foundation.
