Tiruchirappalli, April 1 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin on Wednesday campaigned across multiple areas in Tiruchirappalli, rallying support for party candidates ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.

He began in the Gandhi Nagar Market area backing DMK candidate Inigo Irudaya Raj for Tiruchirappalli East, followed by a visit to Palakkarai, where he stopped at a local tea shop for tea.

Stalin then continued to Bheema Nagar, urging voters to support K. N. Nehru in Tiruchirappalli West, engaging directly with residents and shopkeepers during his campaign trail.

He kick-started his campaign for the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections on March 31 from Thiruvarur, the hometown of late DMK leader M Karunanidhi.
