Taipei, Aug. 29 -- Taiwan's Ministry of Defense detected 19 Chinese military aircraft, seven Chinese naval vessels and an official ship operating around its territorial waters as of 6am (local time) on Friday.

As per the MND, of the 19 sorties, 16 crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern and eastern ADIZ.

In a post on X, the MND said, "19 PLA aircraft, 7 PLAN vessels and 1 official ship operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 16 out of 19 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern and eastern ADIZ. We have monitored the situation and responded accordingly."
