State GCC policies target 1.18 mn jobs, over 1,300 centres as India eyes next wave of multi-city growth: CBRE
New Delhi, Aug. 14 -- India's state-level policies for Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are targeting around 1.18 million new jobs and nearly 1,380 GCCs by 2029-31, with the next phase of growth likely to extend beyond established hubs into tier-II and tier-III cities, according to a CBRE report.
The report said the growing policy push is increasingly being matched by demand for office space, with GCCs having leased more than 123 million square feet across India's top nine cities between 2022 and H1 2026.
