Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], October 12: Chennai-based aerospace company Space Zone India Private Limited has reported the successful demonstration of an in-flight rocket engine restart mechanism through its RRR-1 (RHUMI Restart Rocket), launched as part of Mission RHUMI TWIN 2026 from the Thiruvidanthai coastline near Chennai on October 10.

The experimental mission marks a significant step in the company's efforts to develop indigenous restart-capable hybrid rocket propulsion systems, a technology with potential applications in reusable launch vehicles, satellite launch systems and advanced aerospace research.
