Bengaluru, Sept. 1 -- Indian batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued to justify expectations with yet another explosive outing for East Zone in the Duleep Trophy semifinals against Central Zone at Bengaluru.

During the match, Sooryavanshi, who also took the captaincy armband briefly in absence of skipper Ishan Kishan, scored quickfire 92 and 40 in the two innings, with the latter playing a crucial role in the successful chase of 159 runs for East Zone.

Sooryavanshi has delivered the goods for India U19, India A, and Rajasthan Royals in T20 and 50-over format and also stepped up in a high-stake red-ball match for East Zone.
