New Delhi, April 16 -- India's smart metering push is gathering pace as Polaris Smart Metering Private Limited has secured USD 80 million (around Rs 7,10 crore) in financing from British International Investment (BII), aimed at accelerating deployment of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) in the country.
The funding will support the installation of over 2.2 million smart meters in West Bengal, reinforcing the growing role of digital infrastructure in modernising India's power distribution sector.
