New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- SK hynix CEO Kwak Noh-jung said Thursday the company remains open to further US semiconductor investment, while forecasting a global memory chip shortage through the end of 2030, The Korea Herald reported.

"We are always open (for more investment), but nothing has been decided," Kwak told reporters Thursday after a groundbreaking ceremony for the company's advanced packaging plant in West Lafayette, Indiana, according to The Korea Herald.

Kwak said SK hynix was looking globally for potential sites that could support its development and testing needs, citing power, water and government incentives among key considerations.
