Shafali Verma scripts history, becomes fastest and youngest to get 3,000 WT20I runs
Dubai, Sept. 5 -- Star Indian opener Shafali Verma entered the history books on Saturday, becoming the fastest and youngest player in the world to reach 3,000 runs in Women's T20Is.
The right-handed top-order batter from Haryana needed 7 runs in India's Women's Asia Cup 2026 Group A clash against Pakistan in Dubai on Saturday to reach the landmark, and she wasted no time, completing the milestone by scoring seven runs off the first two deliveries of India's innings.
She is the fastest to the landmark in terms of balls faced, reaching 3,000 runs in just 2,182 deliveries.
