New Delhi, Sept. 28 -- The Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear a PIL seeking a uniform national framework to tackle the manufacture and sale of fake and adulterated medicines, alleging that gaps in the existing system allow such rackets to operate with limited accountability.

A bench of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana however said that the petition shall be sent as a representation to the government for consideration.
