Mohali, Sept. 13 -- Ludhiana Lions booked their place in the final of the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League after defeating Jalandhar Warriors by 17 runs in a thrilling semi-final at the I.S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali, according to a press release.

Captain Salil Arora led the way with a sensational unbeaten century before pacer Sahil Bhaskar produced a match-winning spell with six wickets to help Ludhiana defend their total of 220/5. Jalandhar, who looked well placed during their chase at one stage, were eventually restricted to 203/8 in 20 overs.

Ludhiana did not have the best of starts after being asked to bat first. Jalandhar's bowlers kept things tight and picked up wickets at regular intervals, leaving the Lions in trouble at 105/5.
