Raja Raghuvanshi murder case: SC refuses to stay bail granted to Sonam Raghuvanshi
New Delhi, July 3 -- The Supreme Court on Friday refused to stay the bail granted to Sonam Raghuvanshi, a key accused in the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, while agreeing to hear the Meghalaya government's challenge to the order.
A bench of Justices MM Sundresh and Sheel Nagu observed that, prima facie, it had reservations about the Meghalaya High Court's approach in granting bail. However, the court declined to suspend the relief since Sonam had already been released and the matter would ultimately be decided during the trial.
