Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 2 -- Keralam remains on high alert following a spell of extremely heavy rainfall that lashed parts of the state, particularly the northern districts, over the last 48 hours. However, authorities have indicated that the intensity of the downpour is expected to subside in the coming days.

Speaking with ANI, Sekhar Lukose Kuriakose, Member Secretary of the Keralam State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA), stated that emergency response teams are in place.
