Pushkar Singh Dhami set to become first BJP CM to complete five consecutive years in Uttarakhand
Dehradun, June 30 -- Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will create history on July 4, becoming the first BJP Chief Minister in the state to complete a continuous five-year tenure in office.
Before him, veteran Congress leader the late Narayan Dutt Tiwari was the only Chief Minister in the state's history to complete a full five-year term.
Dhami first assumed office as Chief Minister on July 4, 2021, and following the BJP's victory in the 2022 assembly elections, the party leadership once again entrusted him with the state's command, making him the only Chief Minister of Uttarakhand to secure a second consecutive term.
